"Failure is NOT an Option" It is a NECESSITY!
Real talk time?
If you don't have some "fails" to talk about then have you really even tried?
Put the tray table up and pull your seatbelt tight..... this one may slap some of you in face with the solidity of a concrete slab.... and it is meant to.
The most successful people that I know all have a story about how something they tried failed. Oddly enough, I certainly know some people that are not as successful (or absolutely down on themselves) that have some fail stories as well. Perhaps they are still living those stories, perhaps they don't even realize what they are doing but I believe everyone is on their own path of learning/wandering. All of that being said, it is a rare occurrence that I will meet and also spend time talking to someone that is just outright scared of failure (and I mean to a very high level) and seems to be paralyzed by life itself. They talk about moving forward toward their idea of "success" with intent but their feet never move an inch. Part of them has the will and desire to get to a better life but that part is also overcome by a more powerful fear of failing. Do you know anyone that fits this description?
Other than someone with a silver spoon born in their mouth (and always willing to go along with what is expected of them...which can certainly become its own form of failure) it is hard for me to imagine being this scared to fail. The truth most of us know because we were told or have experienced it ourselves is that failing is a much needed lesson. You get the "fails" to readjust the course and try again to either hopefully reach your goal or get to the next "fail". You keep repeating this until the stars align and you get it right. A person I spoke to last week (and hopefully finally got through to) could not realize that they were the one standing in their own way. That they would make excuses to not take any action to move forward towards what they want because of their fear of failure ultimately. So when I say someone can be paralyzed by this fear that is exactly what I mean. This person keeps pretending that they have time to get this started and that things will just happen for them when in reality they just need to remember who the fuck they are, who they wanted to be... and take small steps to getting to their version of success. Imagine the young ambitious you that had dreams and the future you are both watching you right now.... and you have to explain to them in depth the reason for your extended stall in life. I bet they aren't taking any bullshit excuses either! If you want it bad enough just start moving.... nobody said it's going to be easy but look around. You may literally have nothing to lose and EVERYTHING to gain. Go get your fail stories so you can eventually be talking about them along with your success story. The universe is watching and it will not believe your b.s.
People are out there betting against you. You can make them money or send them to the poor house. What are YOU going to do?
