Many people seem to think that their jobs are safe from Ai. That Ai could never do what they do. They may be partially right in that Ai cannot do it in the same way or better but in reality, for a lot of professions, people are incorrect. They are calculating on what Ai does now and not what it will likely be capable of in the near future as we invest more into it with our time, interest and money. It's sad to truly consider the people/professions that will be losing their jobs to Ai. Please remember that when you use Ai to create something for you that you are also replacing an artist's living and it becomes even more likely that with that same enthusiasm of trying something new your job will likely be replaced by Ai one day too. This holds true from cashiers, therapists and factory workers all the way to artists of all kinds, people in sales and banking and even doctors. We don't like to consider it but here are some examples of what's coming. Ai robots performing surgeries (happening now). Ai vehicles replacing delivery and taxi drivers (happening now). Ai websites for insurance (happening now). These things won't even have to be better than a human’s efforts but they will likely cost less to the consumer and the business itself because there is no human to feed or commission to pay on the back end. If you aren't worried about it I beg you to take a deeper look and really consider if your profession is truly safe from Ai. The tech (soft and hard) is already being used or experimented with and options are being weighed if not already implemented. So maybe going out of your way, paying a little more, waiting a little longer or not 'just trying it for fun' when replacing someone's chosen profession... may be just the thing that starts to save your profession. After all, Ai is mimicking humans... not the other way around. Let that sink in.
